Split-Sheet.com exists to help collaborators document music splits. We collect only the data needed to generate and share your split sheet.
Information We Collect
- Contact details you enter, like email addresses.
- Song and contributor metadata required to generate your split sheet.
- Usage data for analytics and product improvement.
- Optional saved contributor profile (writer name, IPI, publisher details) tied to your verified email, if you opt in to autofill on future sessions. You can review or delete this data at any time via the "Update or delete it" link in any email we send you.
How We Use Information
- Generate and distribute split sheet PDFs.
- Communicate with collaborators you invite.
- Improve product experience and reliability.
- Send important updates or onboarding tips (you can opt out anytime).
- Autofill your contributor information on future split sheets, only when you have explicitly opted in to save your profile and only after your email is verified.
Saved Profiles & Autofill
If you opt in to "Save my info to autofill next time," we keep your writer name, legal name, IPI/CAE number, PRO affiliation, publisher entity, and publisher IPI in a secure profile record keyed to your verified email address. We use this only to populate your fields on future split sheets you participate in. You stay in control:
- Saving is opt-in. The default for first-time users is unchecked unless you affirmatively check the "Save my info" box at verification time.
- Every transactional email we send (verifications, PDF deliveries, reminders) includes an "Update or delete it" link to a self-service page where you can review, change, or permanently delete your saved profile.
- Deletion is immediate and permanent. We do not retain a backup copy of your profile after you delete it.
- Profile data is never shared, sold, or used for marketing without separate consent.
Analytics and Cookies
We use Google Analytics to understand site usage. Cookies may be used for analytics and essential functionality.
Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We only share data with trusted providers needed to run the service, such as email and hosting services.
Data Retention
We keep your data only as long as needed to provide the service or meet legal obligations.
Security
We use reasonable security measures to protect your information, but no system can be 100 percent secure.
Children's Privacy
Split-Sheet.com is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
